Connection can exist at any level of our being: We can be mentally linked, emotionally linked, energetically linked, and/or physically linked to something. The Connection Process presents three powerful esoteric processes that restore you from a state of separation to a state of connection with yourself and others. By engaging in the processes, youll be able to: perceive fundamental truths about yourself and others; see, hear, feel, and understand yourself and others; and develop a deep sense of connectedness with the world. Think about how good it would feel for someone to completely understand youand how great it would be if they were so perceptive of your internal world that they knew exactly what you need or what to say. Think of how good it would be to enjoy harmony in your relationships instead of suffering through conflicts. Connect with yourself, others, and the world around you with your heart, body, emotion, and mindand enjoy the lasting joy that comes from making true connections.

Inhaltsangabe:Abstract: Distributed computing is playing an increasingly important role in many areas of industry, the sciences, in business processes and in the development of new and emerging technologies. It facilitates inter-process communication across heterogeneous networks, hardware platforms and operating systems. We compare four distributed and object-oriented architectures: Sockets in Java 2, Sockets in Berkeley Unix, Remote Method Invocation in Java - RMI - and the Common Object Request Broker Architecture - CORBA - of the Object Management Group consortium. We provide a survey of each of the distributed architectures including its constituting components. To present the architectures in a practical context, we amend each survey with a corresponding application framework. We conclude with a comparative study of the Socket APIs in Java 2 and in Berkeley UNIX and the distributed object models of Java RMI and CORBA. Although the distributed object model as defined by CORBA represents an adopted industry standard, Java RMI has features unattainable by CORBA. The first part of the discussion offers a comprehensive overview of the Socket architecture in Java 2 and Berkeley UNIX and the distributed object model of Java Remote Method Invocation and the Common Object Request Broker Architecture. The second part concludes the discussion with a comparative study of selected features with emphasis on the Common Object Request Broker Architecture and Java Remote Method Invocation. Chapter 1 - The TCP/IP Protocol Suite: We provide an introductory overview of the TCP/IP protocol suite and its architecture including layers and protocols. The TCP/IP architecture is based on three concepts: processes, layers and protocols. There is no official protocol model as compared to the OSI proposal. We can however devise a logical structure of the TCP/IP protocol suit based on the associated protocols and their relationships. The chapter concludes with a brief discussion of Internet-related organizations and standards. Chapter 2 - Sockets in Berkeley Unix: We present the Berkeley UNIX socket architecture in relation to the Internet communication domain and illustrate connection-oriented and connectionless models of communication. The socket architecture forms the basis for the development of distributed applications. A socket represents an endpoint of communication for connectionless or connection-oriented protocols. A socket address data structure [...]

Polystochastic models describe systems whose mode of evolution varies randomly according to the rule given by a hierarchy of conditioning processes. The author discusses the models used for random flow, the dynamics of dispersed systems, real flow and turbulent mixing. Attention is focussed on the fundamental role played by polystochastic models in chemical engineering. The author also draws attention to other areas of application such as the optimization of stochastic systems, dynamic programming and decision sciences, adaptive systems, communications and biophysics.

Android continues to be one of the leading mobile OS and development platforms driving today's mobile innovations and the apps ecosystem. Android appears complex, but offers a variety of organized development kits to those coming into Android with differing programming language skill sets. Android Recipes: A Problem-Solution Approach guides you step-by-step through a wide range of useful topics using complete and real-world working code examples. In this book, you'll start off with a recap of Android architecture and app fundamentals, and then get down to business and build an app with Google’s Android SDK at the command line and Eclipse. Next, you'll learn how to accomplish practical tasks pertaining to the user interface, communications with the cloud, device hardware, data persistence, communications between applications, and interacting with Android itself. Finally, you'll learn how to leverage various libraries and Scripting Layer for Android (SL4A) to help you perform tasks more quickly, how to use the Android NDK to boost app performance, and how to design apps for performance, responsiveness, seamlessness, and more. Instead of abstract descriptions of complex concepts, in Android Recipes, you'll find live code examples. When you start a new project, you can consider copying and pasting the code and configuration files from this book, then modifying them for your own customization needs. This can save you a great deal of work over creating a project from scratch!
