Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

Excerpt from The Botany of the Kimberleys, Northwest Australia It would be desirable to make a comprehensive statement in regard to the flora of north-west Australia, and my bibliography will be useful in this connection, but it is not desirable to increase the length of the present paper. In a few cases Mr. Fitzgerald has not given specific localities, and in cases in which a species occurs in extra-tropical areas, I have been careful to only present such of Mr. Fitzgerald's notes as refer, at least in part, to tropical speci mens.
