'A genuinely impressive debut. Boxer Handsome does everything great fiction should... revealing a world that most people will never even think about. If you can't see what it is that people need from boxing, or why it somehow persists into the 21st century, then read this' -- Guardian Boxing runs in Bobby’s blood. His Irish dad was a boxer. So was his Jewish grandfather. Yanked up by their collars at Clapton Bow Boys Club, taught how to box and stay out of trouble. So Bobby knows he shouldn’t be messing in street brawls a week before his big fight with Connor ‘the Gypsy Boy’, an Irish traveller from around the way. They’re fighting over Theresa: a traveller girl with Connor’s name all over her. But Bobby’s handsome, like his dad; boxer handsome. For Bobby, the ring is everywhere and he can’t afford to lose.
Saba’s passion kept her allies alive. Now it may destroy them all in the gut-wrenching third book in the highly praised Dust Lands trilogy, which MTV’s Hollywood Crush blog called “better than The Hunger Games.” Saba is ready to seize her destiny and defeat DeMalo...until she meets him and he confounds all her expectations with his seductive vision of a healed earth, a New Eden. DeMalo wants Saba to join him, in life and work, to create and build a healthy, stable, sustainable world…for the chosen few. The young and healthy. Under his control. Jack’s choice is clear: to fight DeMalo and try to stop New Eden. Presumed dead, he’s gone undercover, feeding Saba crucial information in secret meetings. Saba commits herself to the fight—and hides her connection with DeMalo. Joined by her brother, Lugh, and her sister, Emmi, Saba leads a small guerilla band against the settlers and the Tonton militia. But the odds are overwhelming. Saba knows how to fight—she’s not called the Angel of Death for nothing. But what if the fight cannot be won? Then DeMalo offers her a seductive chance she may not be able to refuse. How much will she sacrifice to save the people she loves? Betrayal lurks in unexpected places in the breathtaking conclusion to the Dust Lands Trilogy.
It is an intresting play, involving elimination of a boy from his own land, sending to a very bosky bush which is very dicey to survive purposely not to be the king, and his adorable lover was chosen arbitrarily by Oracular (the demigod of the land) for espirits need and his parents were murdered. Only God knows Tomorrow, nobody else. The book is intent for all Literature students.

THE CLASSIC SOLDIER’S MEMOIR FROM MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENT STAFF SERGEANT DAVID BELLAVIA “A rare and gripping account of frontline combat.”—LTG (Ret.) H.R. McMaster, author of Dereliction of Duty “They used to say that the real war will never get in the books. Here it does, stunningly.” —Thomas E. Ricks, author of Fiasco: The American Military Adventure in Iraq and Making the Corps “To read this book is to know intimately the daily grind and danger of men at war.”—Anthony Swofford, New York Times bestselling author of Jarhead One of the great heroes of the Iraq War, Staff Sergeant David Bellavia captures the brutal action and raw intensity of leading his Third Platoon, Alpha Company, into a lethally choreographed kill zone: the booby-trapped, explosive-laden houses of Fallujah's militant insurgents. Bringing to searing life the terrifying intimacy of hand-to-hand infantry combat, this stunning war memoir features an indelibly drawn cast of characters, not all of whom would make it out alive, as well as the chilling account of the singular courage that earned Bellavia the Medal of Honor: Entering one house alone, he used every weapon at his disposal in the fight of his life against America's most implacable enemy. Bellavia has written an unforgettable story of triumph, tragedy, and the resilience of the human spirit.

Descending into the hip-hop underworld to prosecute a killer, Karp comes head-to-head wih Andrew Kane, a powerful would-be mayor whose corrupt web of influence leads Karp to unveil a shocking church sex-abuse scandal. Kept is a memoir that recounts the defining moments in my journey from life in a middle-class African-American family tightly bound by duty and God to a life of prostitution, drugs, and crime, and ultimately to the life I lead now- defined by faith, community, and family. It's a journey that stretches from California through Arizona and Texas and on to Memphis. This is not just another story about a woman who loses her way and finds redemption in the end. Even in cheap hotels, dens of drug lords, and prison cells, I always spoke to God. My faith sustained me, as did my love for the man who traveled this broken path along with me. That love despite extraordinary obstacles, became the foundation for the rest of my life.
