"My Journey" is a true story of a young widow suddenly faced with the challenges of being alone in Cuba with forty-eight hours to leave the island with her two young sons and her husband's casket. What began as an adventure in the US Navy turned into a life changing event, opening new doors that proved there are no chance happenings. The power of her childhood faith foundation allowed her to find comfort by visualizing the images of the stained glass windows from her hometown church. Her faith in God transformed her into being the little lost lamb in the arms of the Good Shepherd, where she found strength and courage on her journey. The silence and pain of being alone enabled her to connect to the Christ in Gethsemane. The journey changed the twenty-seven-year-old country girl into a stronger and more loving woman without breaking her spirit. Cry, laugh, celebrate, and become inspired! My Journey is not all gloom and doom; however, it is an honest glimpse into the events that lead this family into a new life. This is inspiration for anyone who has loved and lost. It offers hope and joy for all those brave enough to stand up and praise God and thank him for the challenges in life.

This book is not just another autobiography. This is a life journey of an ordinary man. Every person is experiencing difficulties in their lives, but how much we are learning from those difficulties and obstacles that we find along the way is what the Author is trying to convey in these pages. The idea of the book is to select some episodes which moulded and shaped the Author to find the meaning in life and walk the path towards the inner freedom as an inspiration and guidance for all who have been awakened to the idea that there is something more than meets the eye. This is a spiritual book in a sense that we are not just a bag of flash and bones and that every person has a spiritual life as well. There is an intelligence that guides and regulates our life. For a lack of better term we call it Spirit, or God. And the aim is to connect to that Being or Intelligence and to achieve the full potential that we are all entitled to as human beings. We have to live our life so that we can, first and foremost, realise ourselves as human beings, and from there, we can contemplate our divine origin and eventually realise that we are divine beings temporarily clothed in human attire with the purpose of realising our soul`s position as the eternal servant in our loving relationship with the Divine.
Jake is celebrating his tenth birthday. That's a remarkable feat, because at birth he was given only three years to live. Miriam Edelson is his mother, a dedicated fighter for Jake and families in similar situations. Edelson poses some tough questions: How do parents cope with a child who has special needs? Are we failing, as a society, to care for children with disabilities? Whatever happened to the federal government's promise of a "Children's Agenda"? My Journey with Jake works on two levels. It's a poignant memoir by a devoted mother, and a hard-hitting, well-researched look at health care for Canada's children.

Throughout history, God has used dreams, visions and the prophetic word to instruct and encourage His people. He still uses these methods to communicate with us today—all we have to do is listen. My Journey is a collection of revelations the Lord has given Linda Walker over the years. Some of these prophetic words offered direction or warning, while others were simply messages of love from the heavenly Father to His beloved child. Although Linda did not immediately understand some of these messages, looking back she can clearly see how God used each word to keep her on the right path. God speaks to each of us in unique ways. We must learn to listen for His voice. My Journey will bless and encourage you to seek God with your whole heart, and get to know Him more intimately each day. God is speaking. Are you listening?
