CAPTAIN EASY certainly got around --- not only in his daily, weekly and monthly adventures, as the "Soldier of Fortune" traveled the world, but also in different comic media, including newspaper strips, Big Little Books, and of course various comic books. His early comic book adventures began with a few pages every issue of FAMOUS FUNNIES #19-26 and THE FUNNIES #1-56, from February 1936-June 1941. CAPTAIN EASY went on to appear in his own comic title for multiple publishers, while his comic strip appeared in newspapers for over 50 years. Not bad for a guy who began as a supporting character in a 1920s WASH TUBBS strip (who would be a partner in many future CAPTAIN EASY stories)! The special blend of action/adventure and a bit of the ridiculous, makes this one of those strips that never gets old. We have a lot more CAPTAIN EASY coming!
