I've written this book to help all those students taking this module to feel confident with the very basics. Fully understanding these points can gain you some precious marks in the exam which could potentially be the difference to a grade. The topics in FP3 aren't any more abstract than FP2 in fact I personally find the topics in FP3 easier to grasp, although harder to fully master. There is another book written before this one which follows the same format covering the FP2 syllabus. So if you find this helpful you might want to check it out. How to use the book is completely up to you; you may use the book in line with a more in depth textbook using it to clarify any obscure points, you may choose to use the book for revision or even as a quick reference for when you get stuck on a practice paper. The book does not contain any specific exercises for you to practice as these can easily be found in other books or in past papers. Instead it shows you a clear and concise method to solve the example questions.
